Master of Ministry (M.Min.)This four-year graduate-level program (63 credit hours) is designed to prepare men for ordination, leadership, and lay ministry in the Church. Classes are of three different types: spiritual formation, semester courses, and summer block courses. Students usually take one spiritual formation track, four semester courses, and one summer block course in an academic year divided into a fall and a spring semester. In addition, all students must pass the basic Bible exam while in the program and the comprehensive exams at the end of the program. The M.Min. degree is intended to provide students with a strong foundation in Church history, theology, hermeneutics, homiletics, pastoral care, and spiritual formation. The combination of practical, spiritual, and intellectual elements throughout the curriculum produces a well-rounded candidate enabled to excel in many areas of ordained and lay ministry. Students will be well-equipped to function as priests, deacons, or in a variety of lay ministry fields as missionaries, Christian educators, and evangelists in the Church. The M.Min. program’s schedule is tailored for working adults who cannot afford to leave their jobs or relocate their families in order to pursue their goals of better serving Christ and His Church.
