Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

This five-year program (99 credit hours) is designed for students seeking a deeper knowledge of biblical languages and includes spiritual readings from the Church Fathers.  These students will be prepared to be teachers and educators within the Church, having studied the Bible in original languages and theology in the primary sources.

The M.Div. is the desired degree for ordained ministry professionals because it provides more spiritual, intellectual, and practical tools through theological readings, biblical languages, and exegesis.  Students who have recently graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree will benefit from the enhanced curriculum of the M.Div. both in their ministry and as they continue on to doctoral programs.

The curriculum for the M.Div. is divided into four types of learning activities:  spiritual formation tracks, semester courses, summer block courses, and pastoral theology ministerial practicums.  In addition, all students must pass the basic Bible exam while in the program and the comprehensive exams at the end of the program.
