Holy Trinity Theological College and SeminaryHoly Trinity Theological College and Seminary is a ministry of the Anglican Church in America (ACA), which is the American branch of the Traditional Anglican Church (TAC). We teach courses locally from Christ the King Church in Towson, Maryland and St. Stephen’s Traditional Episcopal Church in Timonium, Maryland. We also serve students through distant learning venues. Holy Trinity seeks to integrate theological education with the parish church. It is an unfortunate reality that many seminaries, operating under the university model established in the High Middle Ages, have become alienated from the churches that they are supposed to represent. As a result, theological education has all too often been abstracted from the warp and woof of the life of the Church. For the first twelve hundred years of Church history, the Church educated her clergy. Inspired by this venerable example, Holy Trinity has intentionally structured its programs to partner with the local parish in the development of clergy through its mentoring program. At present, Holy Trinity offers a variety of programs. The Associate in Theological Studies (A.T.S.) is designed for persons who wish to deepen their knowledge of the Bible, spirituality, and theology preparing them for lay ministry in the church. The Master of Ministry (M.Min.) and the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) programs are geared for students seeking ordination. The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program is offered for seasoned priests who desire to continue their education. Above all, we wish to place our true Master, the Lord Jesus Christ, at the center of all we do. We have, therefore, arranged our entire curriculum around spiritual formation, the pursuit of God, and union in Christ. With our relationship with our Lord as the hub and with the courses we take as the spokes of the wheel emanating from this hub, by the grace of God we hope to produce holistic priests, deacons, and leaders who, like the first twelve disciples, will profoundly change the world in which they live. |
